kordovan Posted December 25, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) It was high noon, sunny day in Opatija ( most famos Croatian seacoast and touristic place, jet set loaction etc...) , when I visualise the scene there where several layers I want to catch 1. Person that walks into the scene, 2. Mark for a Grand Hotel, and 3. worker in a distance. I need DOF ( small aperture) , and I need speed ( worker is moving, and person with the coat is moving also), I had slow speed ( ISO 100 film), and I decide to expose for highlits ( sunny 16 - ( f11/250) to get DOF, freeze scene, and not loose details in a distance...and I want that HCB (Henry Cartier Bresson) contrast and mark (...what do you think is this photo succesfull or is there improvments that could be reached... thank you all in advence... ..darko (M2+summicron 50+Efke KB 100+Rodinal 1+50) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, in my opinion, a limited depth of focus might have emphasised one of the motives and limited the impact of the busy background.
