Leica M9, 50mm Summicron. The Kaiwo Maru, from Tokyo, called on San Francisco Bay today. She is a training vessel, 309' to 361' long (yes, conflicting numbers), and was launched in 1989. Thank you for taking the time to look here.

Great shots. The first is a magnificant portrait of the tall ship that is accentuated by the reflections of the masts. The second shot demonstrates the complexity of the rigging. Both have great composition, tones and sharpness.

Just when I said no to a M9, and sticking with my d700, I come across a photo like this. Oh boy more gray hairs.:confused:

My little geezer boat is 14', hates wind and chop. So do I. Nearly all my water shots are calm. Glad you liked the picture!

 

Al, try one out. You might really like it! But nothing wrong with grey hair! ;-)
