M3 Original Certicate Check

Hello,

I have an original certificate check for an early 1955 M3 with ser. No. 743788.

If anyone of you owns this camera I will happily send the original certificate on to you, of course free of charge.

Fine !!! Not for my M3, pity... ... perfect example of a modest piece of paper of negligible value in itself, but of great value for the RIGHT person... your intention to give it away is really in the mood of gentlemanhood between Leica lovers...

Yes Luigi, the paper on its own, is really of no value, that is why I want to give the chance to someone who has the camera to make his set complete.

 

I can call myself very lucky, because the M3 lot which I bought came with the original certificate and also the original red velvet box from 1957 :-)

Interesting to note that this 1950's certificate contains 4 signatures and another set of initials, yet the current Leica test certificates contain only one signature.

I have also wondered if it was Leitz and now Leica policy not to have any dates against the signatories?
