stuny Posted May 3, 2010 Share #5 Posted May 3, 2010 Pete - Thanks. The clean lines of the front are intoxicating, and the detailing looks super.
elansprint72 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted May 3, 2010 Rather unsurprisingly it won the "Porsche car of the show" award today. The clean lines at the front are because the orange indicator repeater lights have been removed from the front wings (fenders), this seems to have made a huge difference, why the factory did not do this, I don't know. The folding roof has been baptised; we had a brief hail shower, it is May after all!
andybarton Posted May 3, 2010 Share #7 Posted May 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Where have the side repeater indicator lights been moved to? It's against EU regulations not to have indicators on the side of the car, as well as the front and the back Don't Porsches have the fuel filler cap on the off-side front wing? elansprint72 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted May 3, 2010 Where have the side repeater indicator lights been moved to? It's against EU regulations not to have indicators on the side of the car, as well as the front and the back Don't Porsches have the fuel filler cap on the off-side front wing? The indicators are wrap-around in the bumper (fender, again?) so show both to the front and the side, complying with the EU regs but not the US ones (so I'm told). The base car which this was built on was a 1992 model, I'm guessing that it would have to comply with whatever regs were in force at that time, however I'm not an expert in that field and I'm certainly not an expert on Porsche. The fuel tank filler is on the passenger side and can just about be seen.
