MEB Posted April 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have never seen so many horses lying down. I thought they might be sick until I got too close and one of them raised his head and looked at me, as if to say, "don't block my light...I'm sunbathing." M9 with 75 cron asph. LR 3 beta. Thanks for looking, Mark Blumer Edit: I noticed after posting that I really need a sensor cleaning!
Advertisement Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Hi MEB, Take a look here We're not dead...we are sunbathing. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
SJP Posted April 29, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 29, 2010 nice picture, and interesting phenomenon - not that I blame them for taking a day off. The dust things can be removed with a "clone brush" in paintshop pro, other photo editing software should provide the same/similar options. I sometimes use a freeware Polaroid dust & scratch removal programme, see here for example: Polaroid Dust and Scratch Removal Software Informer: Latest version download, news and info about this Polaroid Corporation program. Polaroid Dust and Scratch Removal is a small yet powerful image editor.

stuny Posted April 30, 2010 Share #4 Posted April 30, 2010 Mark - A terrific shot, but this is so unusual I would not rule out illness.
MEB Posted April 30, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted April 30, 2010 Stu, I would have worried about that too except that this was a Michigan State University farm. MSU is one of the world centers for veterinary medicine and animal husbandry. I figured if there were anything wrong with these horses the MSU professors would already know and be dealing with it. I came back that evening and the animals were all up and walking around. Mark
