Yes, I have looked at that many times, just ordered the 14182 tube from over the big water.

I can see what you are saying about the mount it would be very close if not the same size if they removed the rotating thingy and had it replaced with the M mount wonder if that part could be added.

I will call leica again need to talk to someone.

Thanks Doug

Jan,

I believe the filter slot in the previous post's referenced images is just to the right of the M Tube labeling.

On my copy of the 400 f/6.8 M version you just slide back the little cover and there is the filter slot.

K-H.

In my one too... I think all the Telyt 6,8 M mounts have this kind of slot.... a smart solution, indeed.

Emailed NJ. Leica no response, called did not get threw so email Germany. If they don't have the part or can't do it I would think it would be a lost cause then the 560 will go into storage till I do a R8 DMR or Sony a850 or a leica R solution shows up. Or sell everything and go Canon.

Found in a search a custom made 560 F/6.8 for sale someone made a tube that is adjustable looks real nice but don't need a second 560 and it's a R mount anyway.

I sold my Atlas 6 inch lathe or I would try doing the same thing because I have a M mount from a lens that committed suicide on a concrete side walk.

Cheers Jan.....

Already emailed Don once to see if maybe he had a M tube, no response. Emailed him again to see if he could change the mount over to M. Going to put the 560 in storage sell the 400mm and wait till after Photokina to decide on what I will do.

Sorry if I made you mad Doug I did not mean or want to CONTRADICT you just did not understand what you where trying to explain to me. Learn something new every day...

It is alright for the other guys to make fun of me because I did not go to Harvard.

Jan
