pop Posted April 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 14, 2010 btw: who finds the "mistake" in the pano? The third of the triplet appears to be hiding, perhaps behind the photographer?
pauledell Posted April 14, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 14, 2010 Andreas, In the panarama, the people walking out of the extreme left side cast a shadow that is going toward rhe right but the rest of the shadows are going toward the left. A great series especially the panarama. Paul
a.j.z Posted April 14, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted April 14, 2010 The third of the triplet appears to be hiding, perhaps behind the photographer? You are close Andreas, In the panarama, the people walking out of the extreme left side cast a shadow that is going toward rhe right but the rest of the shadows are going toward the left. A great series especially the panarama. Paul That's interesting, I did not see this myself and I do not have an explanation as I took both pictures for the pano at the same time and did not do anything but stichting it together in PS. The sun was in my back on the right. Thanks for the kind comment!
pop Posted April 14, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 14, 2010 I did not see this myself and I do not have an explanation as I took both pictures for the pano at the same time and did not do anything but stichting it together in PS. The sun was in my back on the right. I'm sure that the sun did its job all right. If you closely observe the shadows in the right hand side of the picture, you will notice that the shadows all seem to converge into one spot. That spot appears to be the gate to the wing of the building in the left hand side of the image. The shadows of everything to the left of the photographer also converge on that point. If you compare this with the shadows on the unstitched picture above the panorama, you will notice that the shadows converge there as well. (So they are just twins, not two of a triplet?) a.j.z Posted April 14, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted April 14, 2010 Philipp: I think you are right - still looks odd. The "mistake" in the picture is the "twin". The little guy was so fast that he appears on both pictures that form the pano although I shot them in short succession

Guest suilvenman Posted April 14, 2010 Share #9 Posted April 14, 2010 Ah..... the Mona Lisa experience! Lovely light in #3 and I also find the subject contrast very interesting. Very good effort with the panorama photo. Overall, a very good set, Andreas. I find Paris particularly beautiful in the sunlight of short, wintery days. I can feel the cold, too. Ken. a.j.z Posted April 15, 2010 Author Share #11 Posted April 15, 2010 Many thanks for the kind comments! I like the pano especially because of the "twins" (in particular as it really looks liek they are). Ken: yes it was quite cold.
