chrisleica Posted March 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I wonder if Leica will improve their optical viewfinder. I just tried the Zeiss 25/28 viewfinder (expensive, I know) and it is almost night and day compared with the Leica offering. Otherwise, I have enjoyed the first 3-months with the M8.2. miklosphoto Posted March 29, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2010 Hi Chris, just curious. Which Leica viewfinder did you compare it with? Miklos

You're comparing apples to oranges here. It is much easier to make an external VF than an internal one coupled with a rangefinder. A valid comparison would be with the built-in VF or the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder.
chrisleica Posted March 30, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted March 30, 2010 Granted, I just wish the Leica (internal viewfinder) was a bit brighter. i found it difficult to focus under low light conditions. Chris
Guest Chris M Posted March 30, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 30, 2010 I use the original bright line jewels from the 50's, my are mint mint condition and are unbelievably bright and clear, nothing comes close to those. I have the 35mm, 50mm and 90mm w/parallel adjustment. I use them on my IIIc/f. If you can find them they are worth the price. chris m.
