Does the Leica UV/IR filter have a pinkish tint? If you were to view it in an angle to catch a reflection per se, one will see it?

My B+W has this pinkish tint/reflection... I am not familiar with Leica filters. Can anyone one please confirm. Thanks in advance.

IR cut filters are interference filters. That means that IR reflects at a half wave length (180 degrees out of phase) and cancels the incoming IR light. The filter does not have a tint. Other colors do not "interfere," because they are at different wavelengths. Thus you will see the other colors partially reflected.

Thanks guys. I should be more specific instead of just asking a question. The reason being is that I just acquired a 35mm 'cron and bought a filter in the *bay. It says Leica but I do not see the tint. I am thinking this maybe a regular filter and not with IR because I do not see any color in the angle. Now, as mentioned, my B+W filter has the tint/color in an angle as described by ottocrat.

Filter says "LEICA E39 UVa 13131"
