carcam Posted March 28, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 28, 2010 Viv- I bought and returned 2 of the 90 Summarits. I loved the size and quick focusing but was disappointed with the image quality. I started with the 2.8 Elmarit M that everyone loves but mine front focused. I found the IQ on the 2.8 better than the Summarit but it has a much longer focusing throw which may help with the fine focusing but it took a lot longer to focus for me. If I got a perfect Elmarit M to start with, I would have kept it. I have no idea why Leica would discontinue a lens so many like? I get the feeling the 90 is the least loved of the Summarit line- many feel the 35 and 75 are as good as their Cron counterpart. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
