chug Posted July 8, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted July 8, 2006 Wow.. Love the tones in this shot. Great texture on the coloums holding the roof up and the white outlines of the motar between the bricks as well. Nice one!
stuny Posted July 8, 2006 Share #3 Â Posted July 8, 2006 richard - Â I agree with Lucas. You've captured some of the delightful mystery of this vast, cool place. If you return to Istanbul (and Istanbul is worth repeat visits), I encourage you to take this same shot again, but with a wide angle lens to show some of the water as well. semrich Posted July 8, 2006 Author Share #4 Â Posted July 8, 2006 Lucas, Stuart - Thanks for your comments. I have a few more shots from there That I will post as a group in a new thread. Â Stuart, as you have been here, you know it is a great place to wander around and for the six buck admission it is fun to experiment with low light, though It is a bit of a bother with the water dripping off of the roof in spots. Â I will in fact go back there again, I live here in Istanbul and maybe I'll back next Wednesday. Â Richard
hm1912 Posted July 8, 2006 Share #5 Â Posted July 8, 2006 I agree with the others. Great lighting on the columns and I like how even though the cistern is quite dark, you've got a full range from black to white in the photo.
