Advertisement Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Hi Nei1, Take a look here Jim Radcliffe's impressions of the X1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

With due respect, this assertion seems a bit silly... as long as the review is fair and points are well motivated, personal opinions are part of the game. Would you expect people to speak or write only of what they like or might likely fancy? ??

jsrockit Posted March 18, 2010 Share #24 Â Posted March 18, 2010 He said he reviewed it because someone gave him the opportunity to use the camera and he was curious. Not to mention the content benefits his site by attracting views.

No,...but there are ,believe it or not, people who do not like leica cameras yet for some reason have a desperation to be linked with them and their forums. Its a little tireing, although I agree not to be taken seriously. Guest Posted March 20, 2010 Share #27 Â Posted March 20, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I find the X1 is a very good partner with an M8 or others in that illustrious line. Today I was out with the X1 and my M8 with 28-35-50 TriElmar; that combination covers three focal lengths with only the TE28 overlapping with the X1. As the TE28 is the weakest of the three TE focal lengths, the X1 covers that end of the range. Often I need the TE35 (47mm) or TE50 (67mm) which gives me very flexible cover in fair to good conditions. So, although the X1 is a superb little camera for those situations when a bigger kit is not appropriate, it is also a viable partner to any other M camera. In that way, the X1 can become part of a very flexible outfit. Could you please post straight jpeg examples of the X1 outperforming the 28mm of a MATE on a M8? (Other people call it MATE, I call it...well: tri btw: version 2 with a lens shade on would be nice) Â Cheers!
Ecaton Posted March 22, 2010 Share #28 Â Posted March 22, 2010 Seems a little silly to bother to post a review about a camera that you knew you wouldnt like ,I mean who gives a monkeys . Â Based on your logic, tests should only be made by reviewers who know beforehand that they will like the product. Sounds as silly as............ Doesn't it?
