Got a notice from Phase One this morning that they have added features from the Capture One 5.1 Pro version to the Capture One 5.1 standard (old LE) version. I did the feature comparison on their site and IMO the standard version is now a worthwhile upgrade for version 4 LE users. Unfortunately I had already upgraded to the Pro version.

Luke, why do you consider an upgrade to Ver 5.1 Pro to be unfortunate? I find it an especially worthwhile program, despite the inevitable 'niggles' that always attach to any software.

Microview, you may be correct. Who knows? Just take advantage if the offer benefits you. ;)

Luke I don't know why my comment to you is a different colour . It is not intended to have any meaning. Can't seem to fix it.

I think Capture One Pro 5.1 is a very worthwhile program. When I upgraded from my LE version only the Pro version had the new features I wanted. Now the "enhanced" non-pro version has most of them and is a viable alternative at a lower price point.

Fair enough Luke. Do you use the other features not available in the 'standard' version? I do , and am glad to have them, despite the price. I realize you may not need them, in which case you have been 'retrospectively' dudded. :(

I expect that had the "enhanced" standard version been available when I upgraded I would have gone with that over the Pro release. Of course now having the "full featured" version I have found features I would rather not give up. So in retrospect I am OK with how it worked out. :)
