Falk61462 Posted March 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, very recently I have stepped back from digital to film. Now I am looking for a reasonably priced scanner which produces very nice quality and which is still being produced (Nikon coolscan are certainly outstanding as are their respective prices). Seems hard to find these days. I have read that the Reflecta RPS 7200 with Silverfast AI 6.6 is producing quite nice results. Is anyone in this forum who has worked with this scanner and what is your experience? Thanks and best regards

SteveYork Posted March 15, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 15, 2010 Reflecta is sold as Pacific Image here in the states. Reviews have been mixed.
Falk61462 Posted March 16, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted March 16, 2010 Thanks for your feedback, Steve. What are the reviews in the US?
SteveYork Posted March 17, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 17, 2010 Per reviews, for 35mm, the latest or so generations of Nikon and Minolta scanners are better. But the high-end Plustek, ect. are probably a better option then the flat bed scanners. I don't know what this all means in practical terms. I'm just parroting the reviews. Some of these reviewers blow things up so much to see differences, but in the real world don't make any difference. I would probably be very happy with an Epson flatbed.
