mikeadams Posted December 16, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) More of the faces I encountered in China last April. I did take the Digilux 2 and the M7 with my only lens, a 35 f2 ASPH. A really good lens. Only one of these photos is taken with the M7, Kodak Gold 100, Nikon Coolscan V ED. Which one do you think it is? Both digital and film reduced to 72dpi for the Web: http://www.mikeadams.org/Current.html Mike

MrEd Posted December 17, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 17, 2006 Hi Mike, Wonderful shots. The last one is the M7 shot. Thanks for sharing. Ed. .
michael_b Posted December 17, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 17, 2006 Nice photos. I think the last picture of the boy was taken with the M7 and the 2/35 asph. Michael
wizard Posted December 17, 2006 Share #5 Posted December 17, 2006 Nice shots! The one with the girl is just charming. Last one is 35asph. Less DOF than the others plus the slight vignetting in the corners which is typical for this lens. Andy
stuny Posted December 17, 2006 Share #6 Posted December 17, 2006 Mike - Terific series, and I too think the last is Leica. mikeadams Posted December 17, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted December 17, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, the last one is the M7. I wish I had used it more than I did, 5 rolls of film compared with 3000 D2. Both around my neck. Both great lenses. My resolution for 2007 is to spend more time taking pictures, actually shoot more film, and save money for the M8 and one more lens. MrEd Posted December 19, 2006 Share #8 Posted December 19, 2006 Hi Mike, 3000 shots? Show us some more! By the way, the D2 images are very good. That's one good little camera. Isn't it? Regards, Ed. .

mikeadams Posted December 20, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted December 20, 2006 3000 narrowed down to 80 or so that looked good after repeated viewings. I usually put everything into the computer, then to a pocket 40GB HD for protection, then I sort in Bridge with colors and stars. I put them away for a few weeks, then go back, toss out more more. I also was there teaching at a university so many of the 3000 were school, students, that sort of thing. There is never enough time when you have a day job. But yes, Leica: give me a camera with a lens as good as the Digilux 2, even though I vow in 2007 to use the M7 and save for the M8.
