richam Posted March 3, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2010 Seems like a fancy, expensive version of the string pod, which can be made with cheap materials. Try a Google search for construction details.
luigi bertolotti Posted March 3, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2010 SteadePod Video The Steadepod? Looks like a nice solution. I don't think is so effective to avoid "microshake" which is the real problem for handelding camera at times in the range 30-4 (with a normal length lens). bill Posted March 3, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2010 What a complete and utter waste of money. Make yourself a stringpod Regards, Bill
wparsonsgisnet Posted March 3, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 3, 2010 Or, carry a monopod. Highly recommended. My assistant *always* has one on him (he has to get *some* things right).

giordano Posted December 17, 2010 Share #7 Posted December 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's for real. A dealer friend of mine says they sell well, perhaps bought not so much by photographers as by people buying presents for photographers.
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 18, 2010 Share #8 Posted December 18, 2010 Hello Everybody, I just use my slightly smaller home made version of a Leitz Tabletop w/ Leitz Large Ballhead. It gives me @ least 2 stops as a chest pod & as many stops as I want on a wall, rock, tree or even table. Best Regards, Michael
ndjambrose Posted December 18, 2010 Share #9 Posted December 18, 2010 I have one. Afraid I have to report it's a total piece of junk. Poorly made and doesn't offer the performance benefits that are claimed. Happy to sell you mine for considerably less than list price if you want it.
