larbel Posted February 28, 2010 Share #1  Posted February 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) As title said, a pointless comparion for the heck of it  Top: 5DII, 24-105L @35mm, f4, ISO400, 1/13 secs AWB Bottom: X1 f4, ISO400, 1/15 secs AWB  Both images were shot in RAW and converted with Lightroom 2.6.1. The X1 WB was untouched while trying to match the 5DII's WB against it, Canon's AWB is no where near desire IMO, and in this case, the X1 AWB is extremely close to real life.  NR off and sharpening at about 75% for both.

diogenis Posted February 28, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted February 28, 2010 It all goes well until the last comparison. What happens there with the 5D? Too much processing? Â This X1 indeed gives amazing result to the point it makes you scratch your head
lct Posted February 28, 2010 Share #6 Â Posted February 28, 2010 A Leica prime can hardly be compared to a Canon zoom, 100% crops cannot be the same size due to different pixel count and the last 5D2 pic is misfocussed. Just redo it with more care and a Summicron or an Elmarit on your Canon and we will laugh a bit.
larbel Posted March 1, 2010 Author Share #7 Â Posted March 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) As I said, it's just for the heck of it so it all good to laugh The last one wasn't miss-focused, the AF point was at the top of the snow globe and it just showed the FF shallower DOF compares to APS-C... No post processing whatsoever except for matching the WB on the X1.
