To those who currently own the X1: would you please post a sample of pictures you have taken so far? This will really help those of us who are considering the camera.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

Thanks. I saw all the pics in those threads before I posted my request in this one....IMO, Peter Luck and Steve Huff are excellent photographers whose results I may not be able to duplicate. They can probably get good results from any camera, so I would like to widen the sample size a bit.

Thanks for the information and I just placed my order through the LeicaShop Austria. I hope they still have stock for me right now. I also ordered through my dealer in Sydney last December but I have been told yesterday the camera won't be available until mid April here!

I am in Sydney and I got mine last Thursday 18/02/10. I got the first one in Australia.

L&P Photographics. I was on the waiting list since last October and had paid for it in full

Ladies and gentlemen, we've got him! :D

Bought today at Schiphol Airport Amsterdam together with the brown leather case for € 1549. Yes!

Now waiting for the battery to charge.

Too bad I didn't have to fly somewhere because now I had to pay taxes.

Clearly America is next right after Tongo and Uzbekistan. Leica USA...what a joke.

I wonder if this is Leica USA or Germany calling the shots. I certainly agree North America is looking like last on the ship to list. I wish the advance US reviewers of the X1, would ask for some comment or explanation from Leica NJ - as the X1 has been semi-promised since December. I wonder if it is related to the low value Euro?

I have asked a few dealers - and they really don't know and many are a bit frustrated...

Aw well. The world according to the Leica marketing department
