ArtZ Posted February 17, 2010 Share #21 Posted February 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Cliff, Yes, I did. But if you focus at the corners and then you reframe, the distance to the corners will be correct (so, perfectly sharp if the lens doesn't suffer of soft corners -extremely rare with fast lenses), but the center will be out of focus. To check focus accuracy, you have to use only the center.
Advertisement Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Hi ArtZ, Take a look here Do I have front focus m9 issues? Or is it my lens? Help please.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Julian Thompson Posted February 17, 2010 Share #22 Posted February 17, 2010 Yes Cliff, I agree, and what is more you can shoot that brick wall at an angle of 45 degrees, focussing on a mortart joint or whatever, so that you can evaluate the test beautifully. Nothing wrong with the test chart but there is just no better test than your own work - are these shots I'm making in focus or are they not? Simples!!
