Vlad Posted February 9, 2010 Author Share #11  Posted February 9, 2010 Ah yes, ... but this is how it looks in action! This is no-nonsense photography at its toughest and rawest no-nonsense pro-level.   Nice attempt to spill the figurative haterade.  The fail element comes into play when you realize that this is a Leica promo picture from a few months ago.  I like how KR slapped his watermark on it. marcg Posted February 9, 2010 Share #12 Â Posted February 9, 2010 Â I like how KR slapped his watermark on it. Oh yes, I hadn't noticed. Very naughty of him. Amounts to a false attribution I think.

twittle Posted February 9, 2010 Share #14  Posted February 9, 2010 I find this stunning. Is it an a la carte or can you get one direct from Hermes? John S.  Hermès Orange is definitely not one of the regular À la Carte choices.  I love it, too, but I don't think I could bring myself to go out shooting with something that screams for attention like this does. jpattison Posted February 9, 2010 Share #15 Â Posted February 9, 2010 "Hmm, the serial number of the body makes me wonder. It is barely over 3000000, while I own an M7 with serial number 332xxxx since about two years now ..." Â Andy, Irwin Put's serial number listing taken from the records at Solms show the range 3009101 to 3010100 to be reserved for M7 a la carte, in 2004. So they get used as and when. Proves that serial number can't be relied on to provide year of manufacture. Â John
aesop Posted February 9, 2010 Share #16 Â Posted February 9, 2010 ...each to their own - wouldn't buy one but then again, that's just me. Besides, any such overture that helps contribute towards keeping Leica in the black is to be applauded. We must not forget that collectors (and suchlike) are an important component in the grand scheme of things.
thomasw_ Posted February 12, 2010 Share #17 Â Posted February 12, 2010 Too orange and attention seeking for me, but I am glad you dig it! FWIW, my 14 yr old son thinks it rocks!

It is barely over 3000000, while I own an M7 with serial number 332xxxx since about two years now ... Andy   Serial numbers haven't been released sequentially for years. I am not surprised they held back 3000xxx numbers for special editions.
