D&A Posted February 5, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 5, 2010 Hi, Just curious...after you download Lightroom (I assume you can simply go download a trial version from Lightrooms (Adobe's) site...do you obtain the cose (serial number) on the Leica website after registering your M9? Thanks! Dave (D&A)
jwr50 Posted February 6, 2010 Share #4 Posted February 6, 2010 With the M9, you get a serial number to activate the full version of Lightroom after you download it.
D&A Posted February 6, 2010 Share #5 Posted February 6, 2010 As I am working with an aquantences M9...not sure I saw anywhere in his packaging a serial # for it. I maybe didn't look throughly, but where in the folders, booklets, paperwork inside the M9 box is the serial #. Thanks for any assistance. adli Posted February 6, 2010 Share #7 Posted February 6, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) To get the Lightroom licence number, you need your camera serial number and a TAN number. The TAN number is located on the back of your registration card (Black thin booklet packed together with the camera manual). Then you have to register your camera at Leica's website. When registered, you get an option to download lightroom. If you at this step fill in your camera serial number and the TAN number, then Leica will send the software license number in a separate e-mail. D&A Posted February 7, 2010 Share #10 Posted February 7, 2010 I appreciate all the replies but a question remains. What if the M9 was registered on Leica's website say a few months ago. Then around now, the booklet with the TAN number is found and one has already downloaded a trial version of Lightroom off Adobe's website. Can one go back to the Leica website and still imput the TAn number somehow to get a serial number or would one prceed with the senaro I described a different nad maybe more efficient way? Thnaks for any info you can supply. Dave (D&A)
