A case for the X1

I see we have another thread started on the same subject as this one which has been going for a while. Perhaps they could be combined.

I will have two scenarios: one where the X1 will be carried for its 36mm lens combined with my M8 fitted with a 75mm or 21mm lens. One of my existing bags will easily provide for this two or three lens combination.

And secondly, a snug belt secured compact bag which will take the X1 with grip and with/without a viewfinder; this would be for non-photographic outings, or when security issues arise, and when opportunistic photo situations arise. The latter needs more investigation and I intend looking at all possibilities presented at the forthcoming Focus on Imaging exhibition in Birmingham in March.

Apologies, I started the other thread. I overlooked the existing thread on account of the double meaning of its subject line, which you allude to in your first post!

For those looking for a bag which can be attached to your belt, Crumpler make a bag called the B.B: (Belt Bitch!)

Crumpler - Belt Bitch Small Media Pouch - Grey: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

I think Crumpler make good quality, nice-looking bags, that don't scream 'I'm cruising around with 2000 dollars worth of camera'!

cheers,

Stephen

Stephen, thank you. I agree the ambiguity which was intended, at the time, to focus attention away from the detractors on the controversial performance issues. I am not sure whether I can change the title but will try.
