wilfredo Posted March 7, 2010 Share #21 Posted March 7, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I became a big fan of the Digilux 2 last year because I wanted a simple point and shoot. I never liked the electronic viewfinder thing but now find myself using the camera with the LCD and loving it. That surprised me. The JPEGs are the best I've seen and I don't even bother shooting RAW with this camera. My M8 is on an almost 3 month leave for repairs with Leica, and if it were not for the better resolution I get with the M8, and less noise, I would probably sell my M8 and stick to the D2. I wish this camera had evolved some more, the lens is excellent. I believe Leica made a serious mistake in not taking the concept of the D2 further. While having your M8 out for 3 months is certainly disappointing (something I am bracing for at some time in the future), I look forward to seeing more of you and your D2 in action. wilfredo Posted March 7, 2010 Share #23 Posted March 7, 2010 Thanks Alberto. I'll be taking a short trip to New York and will be using the D2 there for the first time. I will post some shots :-)
