Advertisement Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Hi firoze, Take a look here Watersmeet - Devon, England D-Lux 2 . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marc_dufour Posted July 7, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 7, 2006 Personally, the first one, without any doubt. The B&W version is more dramatic, as usual; but in the first one, I almost can feel smells, sound and cool of the river. Best regards, Marc
jmr Posted July 7, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 7, 2006 Firoze, each has its merits, as Marc observes. But it's all in the eye of the beholder, as the saying has it; I prefer the B&W.
spxxxx Posted July 8, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 8, 2006 Hi B+W for me - but then I prefer that for almost everything.................... Simon
firoze Posted July 9, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted July 9, 2006 Marc, John, Simon, Thanks for your comments. I know a lot of Forum members prefer B&W. Personally, my own preference concurs with Marc: although the B&W is more dramatic, the colour version gives me a feeling of being there. Regards. ed_oneal Posted July 9, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 9, 2006 I almost always prefer B&W, but, for once, the colored version seems better. It reminds me of an oil painting in my home.
Guest Bernd Banken Posted July 9, 2006 Share #7 Posted July 9, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I prefer the color version because the water of the river is already b/w mostly in all areas. The dark green gives me the impression of a spelled forest where elfs are living..... Regards Bernd
gverdon Posted July 9, 2006 Share #8 Posted July 9, 2006 As said, both have their merit. The color's allow us to feel stronger the "reality", the B&W version let us take some distance and create our own world... Gérald
firoze Posted July 11, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted July 11, 2006 Looks like the forum is equally divided on this one. Interesting! Thank you all for your kind comments. Regards.
