We feed birds in a nearby feeder, much to the delight of this guy.
Advertisement Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Hi Bob Jackson, Take a look here Cooper's Hawk at my doorstep. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted January 28, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2010 Bob, A great capture. Nice composition, tones and sharpness. This reminds me of a Golden Hawk that perched on the fence rail on our deck eating his lunch. Unfortunetly I didn't have my camera available at the time. stuny Posted January 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 28, 2010 Bob - What a beauty, and nicely captured. I feel they both would be stronger with some post processing to punch them up, plus a crop to #2. Perhaps something like this:
Bob Jackson Posted January 29, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted January 29, 2010 Thanks Paul, and nice job Stu! I really didn't do much to it, I was swamped with work today. I'll probably go back and try something, but what you did seems just fine.
Bob Jackson Posted January 29, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted January 29, 2010 Here's a re-do. BTW, shot this thru thermopane glass with a 50mm Sumicron.
allamande Posted January 29, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 29, 2010 What a gorgeous bird! You've done a great job capturing it like this. I kind of prefer the square crop as it shows the bird in the middle of a circle. Ece
