Problem with lenses

To start with thanks to everybody who answered on my question about Software!

As a beginner I have another question:

I have 3 lenses 35/50/90mm

I have not used them with my M6 for a long time.

With my new M8 I use the 35mm, when I sharpen an object further than 3 meters turning the lens around is quiet heavy. Is there any material like thin/special oil I can use to make the lens turn around smooth?

Better not do it yourself.

Will van Manen in Zoetermeer is the best tecnician I know. He has done a lot of work for me.

I second that! Will gave a couple of my lenses a CLA and especially the 35mm Summicron is joy to use again!

I agree: both Leica bodies and lenses I brought to Will van Manen were thorougly cleaned and they handle again as they should. Old grease dries out, both in lenses and camera's and Will van Manen replaces it with better, modern kinds of grease.

Hi, I too am a fan of Will. I would suggest to take the entire kit to Will to have the RF checked and -if needed- adjusted and to CLA the three lenses. Back- or front focusing can be so frustrating!
