LeicaMSeattle Posted January 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2010 I had the old 12mm and sold it to buy the new 15mm rangefinder coupled Heliar when it came out. Having the ability to focus precisely was a big selling point for me. I'll probably buy a 12mm when it becomes available. It looks like the new design will no longer work with the John Milich shade and filter adapter.
cbretteville Posted January 21, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 21, 2010 As with the 15mm announced last year it looks like it is the same optical design as the old one. And they've taken the VF out of the box like they did wit the 15. You will not need an adapter to put a filter on this one, it takes E67 filters. Here is a Google translation, slightly more readable than the original for those of us wo. Japanese as a foreign or first language.
