New to the Users Forum and to the D2 that's on the way. What in the experience of you D2 users is a well-made and intelligently designed bag for this camera that would allow for the camera/charger, etc. to be separately compartmented and kept reasonably snug? I know about the Billingham L2 $$$(Alice) and the Pelican 1200 hard-sided option from an old 2007 thread. I'm seeking more recent advice and thank you most appreciatively in advance!

You might want to take a look at the Hadley Digital - I think it's the perfect size for the D2.

If you must carry the charger as well, you can configure the dividers so that the charger will sit on one side and cord on the other, and have the camera in the middle with the lens pointing down. (But it's not as convenient getting the camera in and out putting the camera that way...).

Additional items like filters etc can be stored on the front pocket.

Lowe Pro 110AW takes my D2, 3 spare batteries, 2 spare cards and a cleany pen thing, all in seperate compartments. I never put the charger in the camera bag myself - but it won't fit in this bag though - for the record.

Check with M Classics - Home Page

This is a great bag... and they made me one in tan. But, they also have a smaller version (they don't show it) that I have in all leather, black. The construction, hardware and materials are beautiful. The leather is very much like the original COACH bags... and the canvas is the same as the cloth used in Mercedes and BMW convertible tops.

My bags are shown here: Pimp My

Thanks to each of you who suggested options on a D2 case/bag. I've got a Pelican 1200 on order, and think I'll go with either the Hadley Digital (what's not to like?) or a smaller M Classics bag (beautiful workmanship!) as well.

Late to the party, but I just bought and really like this bag. It's not in the league with some of the others, but I like that it's relatively inexpensive (~$100), not noticeable and the right size for my needs.
