Sailronin Posted January 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here is a shot from M8 with the CV 15mm; no coding, no IR filter. All of the photos in my post in the Landscape section, "Grassy River" were shot with this lens. So far I'm pretty impressed with it. Thanks for looking, Dave
Advertisement Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Hi Sailronin, Take a look here CV 15mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted January 17, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 17, 2010 Dave, A pleasant shot for sharpness, content and composition but clearly showing the CV15's fingerprint barrel distortion vignetting and cyan drift. As I feel sure you're aware, the IR filter and coding will pretty much fix the vignetting and cyan drift. Pete.
epand56 Posted January 17, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2010 Coding it as a WATE will help you preventing the cyan shift on the corners. And the UV/IR filter may help with the colors. Both coded as WATE 16 and UV/IR filter.
geoffreyg Posted January 17, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 17, 2010 Hard not to like this lens. Again, no coding, no filter. Geoff

croweatr Posted January 18, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 18, 2010 That's not Cyan Drift! It's merely vignetting. The Cyan drift comes as a result of *fitting* the UV/IR filters... it's not repaired by them! Lovely pics by the way. It's great when people actually show images here! jsrockit Posted January 18, 2010 Share #9 Posted January 18, 2010 but clearly showing the CV15's fingerprint barrel distortion vignetting and cyan drift. It's so mild though... I'd say its pretty good for no coding or filter... a lot better than most.
purwoardoko Posted January 22, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 22, 2010 for me CV 15 is a good lense for contrast, sharp at appropriate price but rather weak on color rendetion, IMHO, baut overral it's great for outdoor and lanscape photography regards ardoko
