bad robot Posted January 23, 2010 Share #14 Posted January 23, 2010 Sorry folks, that is not the X1 , it looks like a modified version (X1a). I had to look very hard to notice the very subtle differences between this and the orginal model (X1). I understand that the leica leather case will also be ever so slightly bigger. lincoln_m Posted February 2, 2010 Share #15 Posted February 2, 2010 This X1A is a concept model, unfortunately with no rangefinder or shooting ability. Notice there are no sidewinders! It might have been designed with many automatic control options but the manual controls work backwards. Give me a manual/mechanical target acquisition system coupled with the optical rangefinder sight for uncomplicated shooting anytime. Leica should have been brave and gone with a manual control system instead of all this fly by wire stuff in the X1A, but perhaps that would hinder sales of the top model. Also where is the all black stealth version? This one looks to be silver, again. Perhaps we have to wait for the X1P for more rapid firing and easier manual overrides?
