I made my decision on a Leica

Today I went to my local Leica dealer in Los Angeles and putting my name on a waiting list for Leica X1, I should be taking a look at it once they get delivered which they said it will happen before the mid February. But if the camera doesn't live up to its promised, the I will take a D-Lux 4. Try on the D-Lux 4, and it is really much more better than the E-P2, nice design, solid construction, I really loved it. But I will make my final decision once the X1 is in the house.

I wouldn't say that at all... you may like it better, but it isn't better.

Welcome to the forum.

The cameras you mention are really 3 very different types. One is a small sensor digicam with fixed zoom lens, one is a 4/3rds sensor with interchangeable lenses and the final one is (X1) has the largest sensor and a fixed prime lens. On paper the X1 should give the best overall quality by nature of the larger sensor and prime lens, albeit within its limitations - you will no doubt have read the reviews so far.

I suggest that you need to consider what you want to use the camera for, kinds of subjects you want to take and also what you intend to do with those images, i.e. will you be just posting photos on the internet or do you see yourself wanting to make some good prints to hang?
