AlbertoDeRoma Posted January 12, 2010 Author Share #21 Posted January 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm a recent Digilux 2 convert and I continue to enjoy the camera for it's practicality and unique IQ. Here's something I did with it today. I took these pictures to sell my Digital Rebel T1i on E-bay. Yes, that rebel is a full 15 Megapixels and the technology on it is way ahead of the D2, but I never use it since I got the D2, and I don't really need it as a back-up to my Canon 5D II, so it's going.I'm also including another picture of Lucy the Independent wonder cat. The D2 - I have to say - gives one a measure of independence. Hi Wilfredo, Actions speak louder than words. I don't think you'll miss the Rebel - or it's extra 10Megapixels one bit :-). Alberto P.S. I like the wonder cat's picture - as I do most of your pictures.
Advertisement Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Hi AlbertoDeRoma, Take a look here Digilux 2 fever ... and the cure (or: How to get your hands on a Digilux 2). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LuxBob Posted January 12, 2010 Share #22 Posted January 12, 2010 Well, I have matching bags for my Digilux 2(s).... LOL Never thought of shoes too. John, are you not the person who has re-covered at least one of his D2? Perhaps you could tell us all a bit more about your passion for this camera. Reminds me a little of an MTV program about cars. I bought mine simply because I was fed up with messing around with menus and wanted a good quality digital with analog control - QED.

I had two of them done, Bob. They're featured in an article on my web site: http://www.johnthawley.com/journal/2009/1/13/pimp-my-ride.html
wilfredo Posted January 12, 2010 Share #24 Posted January 12, 2010 Hi Wilfredo, Actions speak louder than words. I don't think you'll miss the Rebel - or it's extra 10Megapixels one bit :-). Alberto P.S. I like the wonder cat's picture - as I do most of your pictures. Thanks Alberto. I won't miss it :-). The D2 is one of those cameras that demonstrate clearly that more pixels are not necessarily better. Part of the charm of this camera is that it has that classic look characteristic to the cameras that made photographic history, like the M cameras. It's bigger than an M but still not bulky and very lite. I believe there is still a place in the photographic world for an expansion of the concept of the D2, a no frills DSLR shaped like a rangefinder that does what it's supposed to exceptionally well, take pictures.
