ho_co Posted December 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) At one time, Photoshop allowed the creation of a very basic automated PDF slideshow. You chose a set of files, then set viewing duration and crossfade time. Photoshop would then build a stand-alone slide show that would run automatically on any computer with Adobe Reader. Is something similar available today? I'd like to email an automatic standalone slideshow that requires no viewer intervention. I'm using a Mac with PSCS4; also have Lightroom 2 available. Or any recommendation would be appreciated. Thanks!

johnwolf Posted January 1, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2010 Howard, My desktop computer is down today (needs a new processor fan), so I can't verify what I'm saying, but I know the LR Slideshow module will do what you want, including the fade transitions. You can save the show as a PDF. In PS, look at Bridge. I don't use it, but that's probably where the slideshow functionality would be. John

Howard, iPhoto does a pretty decent job of a basic slideshow, with adjustable times, fades, background music, titling etc. For Mac, Fotomagico is probably the best slide show software but it is not as good as Wings Platinum from AV Stumpfl which is Windoze only sadly. If you are trying to sync music with slides, the dual adjustable graphical timelines (audio and video) in Wings are fantastic. I am even considering putting Parallels and Windoze on one of my Macs just to get Wings. Wilson
