Advertisement Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Hi biglouis, Take a look here Amaryllis flower. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted December 28, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2009 Louis, An excellent shot with lovely smooth tones, selective focus, and sharpness. Did you consider cropping the louvers on the shutter? I know, it makes a square format picture. Paul
leicamann Posted December 28, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 28, 2009 hmmm.. an Amaryllis being an Amaryllis ...I would have preferred color. Cheers, JRM
stuny Posted December 28, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 28, 2009 Big - We're not that used to B&W from you. Excellent in composition, detail, selective focus, light, contrast and tonal quality.
elansprint72 Posted December 28, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 28, 2009 I'm disagreeing with all the comments so far! Crop out the part bowls on the right; get rid of that dark line running down from the louvres; leave the louvres in; keep it in B&W! Look forward to seeing version 2. elansprint72 Posted December 29, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 29, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not quite! I think I would have left the out of focus louvres in but cropped some more off the right. I think version 2 is improved but what do others think? vdb Posted December 30, 2009 Share #9 Posted December 30, 2009 Daves version is my favorite. The oof louvres create depth and should be retained. I could go with or without the right sided crop. But B&W is beautiful. Lovely tonal separation and fabulous light.
allamande Posted December 30, 2009 Share #10 Posted December 30, 2009 I like the original version the best. It has the feel of an indoor garden. Lovely tones, light, and depth. An opportunity that was realized to full advantage. Ece
