Advertisement Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Hi Alan Philpotts, Take a look here My favourite tree. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicamann Posted December 14, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2009 Very nice, a bit over zealous on the USM..this is the instance where it is always more pleasing a result to scan from the print instead of the neg. And for those of use who don't have a darkroom, many cities and towns offer a darkroom facility for a small monthly fee. or Darkroom Design for Amateur Photographers Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM
Alan Philpotts Posted December 14, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted December 14, 2009 Thanks JRM. Right on the button. Unfortunately, my darkroom is long gone. Actually this isn't USM, but today's "special offer" from the dev and scan place - a low-res scan for the price of a hi-res scan. They have apologised and will rescan the film tomorrow. Watch this space. Regards Alan
stuny Posted December 14, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 14, 2009 Alan - This is so near perfect that I can't wait for the rescanned version.
ezc203 Posted December 16, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 16, 2009 Lovely for tones and composition. I especially love how the ground's texture contrasts those created by the tree branches.
StFreud Posted December 16, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 16, 2009 The tree, the fence and the lines of the field, all fits perfect, I think Stefan

MEB Posted December 16, 2009 Share #8 Posted December 16, 2009 The scene has the feeling of a Japanese Zen garden. Very peaceful and beautiful. Mark Blumer (East Lansing, Michigan)

Alan Philpotts Posted December 16, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted December 16, 2009 Thank you all for the kind comments. I am always returning to this scene. Mark, perhaps you have hit on a reason why. Here is the rescan - it gave me a little more detail in the sky. The second image illustrates the totally different feel of the following day Regards Alan
