enboe Posted December 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I spoke with a knowledgeable little bird today about some of the glitches, failure to write, and similar issues my M9 is having with virtually every card I've tried. My bird said to wait for the new firmware instead of sending back the camera for repair. Allegedly, the new M9 firmware will address the card writing glitches and freezes while enabling the use of many more types of cards and improving speed as well. My bird has always been right in the past. Enjoy.

enboe Posted December 15, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted December 15, 2009 Back to bird talk: My bird chirped that the original release date was to be 12/1/09, but this was pushed back probably until shortly after the first of the year to ensure a quality update. I must remember to bring more bird food next time. e.

ashwinrao1 Posted December 15, 2009 Share #11 Posted December 15, 2009 My camera has chirped that it's quite happy with san disk ultra 2 16 gb cards....I think it would chirp even more happily with firmware that would bond well with extreme III's.... HI There Ashwin Mine's singing with the Ultra II 16's as well - I'm not sure that I'll be changing them for Extreme III cards even if they do sort them out (I don't seem to spend much time waiting for the card).
