pauledell Posted December 12, 2009 Share #2 Â Posted December 12, 2009 Rob, Â An impressive capture with marvelous colors and sharpness. I can't see where you could improve on this, especially with the reproduction ratio used. Â Paul
Guest suilvenman Posted December 12, 2009 Share #3 Â Posted December 12, 2009 Arrrrgh! THEM! What an excellent macro photo. Â You're an increasing source of torment, Rob. I thought I was committed to Leica R and film and you keep producing these superb photos with the unfashionably sharp, in-focus not M9. Â Cheers, Ken. rob_x2004 Posted December 13, 2009 Author Share #10 Â Posted December 13, 2009 Its a Massa, Andy. Hang on a sec, thats the free high class filter that came with the free spare battery, LCD protector, cleaning cloth, CD holder, camera pouch, and tripod. One sec, under that it says Dc...Vario-elmarsomething lots of numbers stuff, on a FZ35, same one as I used on this and that but at the other (macro) end of the scale rather than 18times megazoom. Â To give you an idea, the little guy is the size of the head of a tea spoon. All I did was point the camera at him. At the macro end you can get focus with stuff pressed against the filter. Cool huh. Â ..... .....

leicamann Posted December 13, 2009 Share #13  Posted December 13, 2009 I really don't understand this hang up about camera brand,,geez..if it does the job then it wins the bacon..... Red Dot or not  Keep in mind that the boy (14 year old) who one the 2006 International Photographers award was an African kid wayyyyyyyyyyyy out in the boonies, he had no money and made his own "pinhole camera" from an empty tin. The film emulsion he also made himself with the help of his teacher...total cost of project... $2.00...... Its not the equipment folks, its what you do with what you've got.  Cheers, JRM

Our mission has been to show that your last sentence is exactly right.
rob_x2004 Posted December 13, 2009 Author Share #15 Â Posted December 13, 2009 Still I wouldnt mind giving the pin hole thing a go:rolleyes:. I could even paint the whole thing red:p. Â Ps ... The file sizes are 4000/3000pixels and images arent cropped. So they might not give you fine art but with judicious editing you could probably print an acceptable eight by ten. elansprint72 Posted December 13, 2009 Share #16 Â Posted December 13, 2009 My C-Lux3 has pin-hole mode. Â State of the art digital P&S emulates something from a hundred+ years ago. Progress?

Sailronin Posted December 16, 2009 Share #18 Â Posted December 16, 2009 When I got my first view camera (about 35 yrs ago) I couldn't afford a lens so shot through a pin hole for about 4 months.
