JHAG Posted December 3, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 3, 2006 Lausanne, Switz., Nov 2006I often asked myself why these "previews" are so important considering that people care about everything except the artist's work... D2 200 ISO | f2 | 1s | ø60mm Thanks for looking. That's why I like to go to "Clôture" rather than "Vernissage" : much less people's talk, much more of the artist and his work. But… This is a wonderful image : what I call painting/photo. Very consistent with the subject. I'm very happy of this blurred composition, with the artist, in ombre chinoise, on foreground, back to to the viewer. I'm working on such a series with such a blurred foreground figure. So, very inspiring. Bravo, Gérald !
gverdon Posted December 4, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted December 4, 2006 Johan, thanks for the comment and the illustration. In fact, mine is rather blured in foreground AND background... But I believe it expresses particularly well a certain type of shallowness... Gérald
kamilsukun Posted December 4, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 4, 2006 Gerald, Very good, very artistic, very high level photograph. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it. Thanks for sharing.
jotam Posted December 5, 2006 Share #5 Posted December 5, 2006 This one is Gérald at his best level. The text about what is going on a 'vernissage' is totaly pertinent. It is a warning to all photographers: never forget your camera when going to such event! :-) José

comapedrosa Posted December 8, 2006 Share #7 Posted December 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Gerard, This photo is just blurred enough to start telling the true story. Congratulations!
gverdon Posted December 10, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted December 10, 2006 Comapedrosa, just blurred enough to avoid to tell the whole story, maybe? Thanks for commenting. Gérald
