On my M8 I will stick with the 35 'Lux.

If I was limited to one, that woudl provide the best combination of low light, portrait & landscape photography I believe.

I agree but I would be hard pressed to choose between my 35-lux and my 28/2.8-asph. The latter is an amazingly good value for money lens (not many of those in the Leica family).

Not quite perfect as u can't really use it in low light situations. Bokeh is also not that good.

Interesting you should comment on the bokeh. I took this shot to test that out. It's subjective of course, but I think it's OK, perhaps a bit busy in some areas. Your thoughts?

Simple, no reservations, 28/2.0 cron.

Every picture on my site was taken with that lens. And, I had the WATE, 50/1.4lux and the 75/1.4 lux in my pockets the whole time. It was fun to have them, but I think I could travel Europe with a 28 alone.

I am with Shootist on this one.

'Lux 50 Asph. APO, floating element, aspherical glass, .7mm focussing, f/1.4 usable and usable.

There are lenses and there is the Summilux 50mm f/1.4 Asph. Period.

Regards.

50 Summilux asph. The 28 Summicron runs it very close but if it's only one lens then it's the 50.

'Lux 50 Asph. APO, floating element, ...

APO? There's no APO element according to the data sheet. You're not thinking of the 75 or 90 Summicrons by any chance?

Pete.

It's the '.7mm' focussing that impresses me. Now THAT is close! :D
