Vlad Posted November 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 19, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) ... the ltd Edition Hermes M7 with our local Leica bloke David Farkas. Working with Hermes a lot, having a wife that is an avid H bag collector and having the largest gathering of Hermes collectors online, it was the logical thing to do. I was so stoked when I learned that the M7 was going to be going into a limited Hermes production run, I had to pull the trigger. As for many collector's items, it won't get much use (except for the silver aluminium 35 'Lux, occasionally), but that's what my regular M7 is good for. Woot, so excited! I'll make sure to share a lot of mouthwatering images once I have it in hand.

earleygallery Posted November 19, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2009 Delighted for you, but it does seem sad to be buying a new Leica camera to take photos of it rather than with it. Each to their own of course.

Vlad Posted November 20, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted November 20, 2009 Please: Tell us you ordered the brown leather, not the Lamborghini orange... Hermes Orange is the company's staple. Of course I got the H Orange. Etoupe is boring.
Riccis Posted November 20, 2009 Share #10 Posted November 20, 2009 Hermes Orange is the company's staple. Of course I got the H Orange. Etoupe is boring. This is correct... The orange is pretty much Hermes' signature color, I think that is the color of their shopping bags. BTW, a friend of mine ordered one of each and I can't wait to see them Cheers,
twittle Posted November 20, 2009 Share #11 Posted November 20, 2009 I think that is the color of their shopping bags. Gift boxes, too. But I'm not sure that makes it a good color for a camera.

Ugly baubles for people with plenty of (new) money but no taste. ...possibly, Ian, but as much as you and I may rage against such baubles, they play an important role in Leica's strategy for survival. Just don't tell our friend Vlad about the M7 Titanium "50 Year" Set. Yet.

Guest s.m.e.p. Posted November 20, 2009 Share #19 Posted November 20, 2009 The M7 Hermes orange is nice, but I like the MP Titanium more.
earleygallery Posted November 21, 2009 Share #20 Posted November 21, 2009 Does anyone know the pantone code for the Hermes orange? I'd like to order a new Bentley Continental with the same colour paintwork and leather, and chrome dash to match the camera.
