nhabedi Posted November 15, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've had several cases recently where I thought the search function doesn't work correctly. Here's an example: I knew that I had started this thread http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/film-forum/105731-epson-perfection-v750-pro-banding-dense.html a while ago and that the title contained the word "dense". If I go to the search page http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/search.php and ask it to search for threads with the word "dense" in the title, there are no results. That's wrong, isn't it? Or am I the only one to see this?
Advertisement Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Hi nhabedi, Take a look here Search function not working correctly?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sandymc Posted November 19, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2009 As of this morning it seems that the search function is only providing results for posts made today; presumably this has something to the database upgrade. Hopefully it will be put right....... Sandy
LUF Admin Posted November 20, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 20, 2009 Folks, My fault... I made a big update in the database and didn't realize I had to recreate the search index. The server is now for about five hours working to go through all 1.1 million postings in order to enable 100% content search again... Sorry for that Andreas

LUF Admin Posted November 20, 2009 Share #5 Posted November 20, 2009 Did you try out your test case? I'd like to know if five hours server load paid off... Best regards Andreas
nhabedi Posted November 20, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted November 20, 2009 Did you try out your test case? Uhm, no. I just tried and it didn't work. Is the index creation already finished?

LUF Admin Posted November 23, 2009 Share #11 Posted November 23, 2009 I have just tried to find threads about the R10 and the announcement that it will not be produced - and nothing came up. What did you exactly look for? Please tell me the exact term - otherwise I have no chance to solve any bug. If you looked for "r10"- that's too short for the search engine.. Best regards from Bonn Andreas
Michael Hiles Posted November 24, 2009 Share #12 Posted November 24, 2009 Hi Andreas, I typed in "R10".
