Palm Posted November 29, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) My girlfriend dropped my D-Lux 2 on the street yesterday from about 4' hights, after I gave her to use for a week. - -Yeah !! Damn Right - - Broke the cover and scratch every single possible corners in the front panel. Well, I think should drop her too HA HA HA. Does anybody know where can I get the replacement cap ? and Anybody ever dropped theirs ? will it effect the operation of the camera ? and does the DL2 usually got some minor rattling ? I really appreciate any of your help and advisory. AND !!! I also decide to try V-Lux1 next week to replace my EOS system before I fully turn to the complete Leica set. Any comment on rationality ? I hope I do not have to sell my car for that. Ha Ha Thank you Palm
Advertisement Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Hi Palm, Take a look here Dropped D-Lux2 ; Need some advice. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dugby Posted November 29, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 29, 2006 Sorry to read about the DLux2 damage......... hopefully your GF is rewarding u =;-) Your comment on getting a V-Lux1......i believe the images may be quite too similar to your DLux2. If you are lookin for a step upwards in IQ, then the L1 (aka D3) might be the better, though more expensive choice.
ECliffordSmith Posted December 1, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 1, 2006 Sorry to hear about the damaged camera! I suppose your local Leica dealer should be able to get hold of lens caps for the DLUX 2/3 easily enough.
