jaapv Posted November 10, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted November 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) How? Is it only for registered M9 users? Registering is free for all Leica owners. You go to the Leica site, owners area and create your login. You can then register your Leica/Leitz products, which is practical for both yourself and Leica. stunsworth Posted November 10, 2009 Share #8 Posted November 10, 2009 I've just logged back in and can't see a link to download Lightroom 2. Are you sure this isn't just for people who've registered an M9? This is what I see... Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted November 10, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted November 10, 2009 That I wouldn't know. I obviously have one registered. It is possible, but the link makes no mention of that: Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! andybarton Posted November 10, 2009 Share #10 Posted November 10, 2009 I don't have any offers available to me either. I know that there is a free download for M9 owners, but I can't believe that Adobe would give £200 of software away to just anyone who registers a Leica product. bill Posted November 10, 2009 Share #11 Posted November 10, 2009 I have a D-Lux 4 and I can "see" the 3 year warranty, which I already have. I suspect this is context-sensitive. Regards, Bill
jaapv Posted November 10, 2009 Author Share #12 Posted November 10, 2009 Sorry for the desinformation then, the site gives no indication of this . Maybe just kill this thread and remove it, Andy, to avoid mistakes.
@bumac Posted November 10, 2009 Share #13 Posted November 10, 2009 I think you will need a M9 for this. I have registered now with my M8 ... nothing ...
UliWer Posted November 10, 2009 Share #14 Posted November 10, 2009 I am registered on the Leica Website - though have neither a M9 nor a D-lux 4. When I enter the promotion section I see the text but no Lightroom, no warranty and no fres LFI subscription. I think I have to wait until they offer something to registered 5cm-Elmar-owners... jaapv Posted November 10, 2009 Author Share #15 Posted November 10, 2009 The irony is that I don't even WANT to use Lightroom, I'm a C1 and CS4 type..
wattsy Posted November 10, 2009 Share #16 Posted November 10, 2009 It's for M9 owners only. Besides you will need the card that comes in the M9 box to obtain your serial number. The download by itself (which you can get from Adobe) won't be any use unless you want to use it on a trial basis.
Indecisive Posted November 10, 2009 Share #17 Posted November 10, 2009 The irony is that I don't even WANT to use Lightroom, I'm a C1 and CS4 type.. So are you a M9 owner? Is that how you get the LFI subsription as well?
Jeff S Posted November 10, 2009 Share #18 Posted November 10, 2009 Anyone can download Lightroom 3 Beta for free, even if not an owner of previous LR versions. This is available in English only until end of April 2010. Jeff
wattsy Posted November 10, 2009 Share #19 Posted November 10, 2009 Is that how you get the LFI subsription as well? I think so. I was offered a free subscription when I registered my camera.
Mauribix Posted November 10, 2009 Share #20 Posted November 10, 2009 The irony is that I don't even WANT to use Lightroom, I'm a C1 and CS4 type.. If you don't WANT to use the M9 too, just give me a call Jaap!
