I would really welcome some feedback if you can.

Generally the pictures are untouched except for some highlight recovery and removal of a surprising amount sensor dust, which I noticed against the sky in particular, after I imported two days of photographs into Lightroom!

Thank you.

Vikas, I don't like you ;-). #1, you've made me jealous that you've picked up an M9 in my home town (when I can't get one in Tokyo where I work). #2, you've taken beautiful pics and just made me miss home!!

Good job buddy...hope you enjoyed the wine down there too. Something not to be missed.

Well your home town is amazing. about a month back I happened to be in Perth on business and the day before I left Singapore (where I live and where is is likely still not available) I took a chance and called a Leica dealer in Perth. He had one piece. I gave him my credit card number straight away and picke it up two days later. This time was just my second visit to WA.

Vikas..... this is my backyard, too.

Next time in Yallingup, take the M9 to the "Other side of the moon" ....the scenery will have you drooling.

I too agree the photos are a bit soft, the Chocolate Factory photo is the sharpest of those posted.

PS .....did you buy the M9 at CES on Stirling Street, or That Murray Street Mall camera shop?

and what was the price ?

dugby, Camera Electronic are the only authorised Leica reseller in WA now, camera solutions no longer carry Leica. So Vikas would have pre-ordered from CES, likely quite close to 09/09/09.

Yes, it was CES and it was a week or so after 09/09/09. The price was at what I thought was a big premium but later realised that the Australian price for the M9 was for some reason pegged high and I understand it has come down since then (if you can find one of-course).

To me, they are somewhat soft.

Haven't done much about them yet, though I had hoped to, but you may be interested in two new takes on one of them:

Admitedly still too conservative. Take a look at Bob Tullis interpretations at
