fotografr Posted November 3, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm contemplating buying some higher capacity cards for my M8. Right now, I'm just using 4GB cards, but I'm wondering what the actual capacity limit is for the M8. Has anyone used 8GB or 16GB cards?

fotoism Posted November 3, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 3, 2009 I have used Transcend SDHC 8GB and 16GB cards without problem. The LED counter will only go up to 999 due to the 3 digit display limit for the larger cards, then start to come down when it has less than 999 spots for your files. darkspark Posted November 3, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 3, 2009 With the newest firmware, 16GB SDHC cards works fine on an M8... I'm using one with no problem. Though, the top LCD will show "999" shots remaining until you have less than 8GB on your card. (The camera can't calculate the shots remaining over 8GB from what I heard.) fotografr Posted November 3, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted November 3, 2009 That's good news. Thanks much. I might as well go for the 16GB since the prices have come down so much. I don't really care about knowing how many shots are left until I get down to about the last hundred, so that shouldn't be a problem.
