The last apples of 2009; a storm took care of them later that afternoon.

Wow! The posts so far have all been superb with the autumn colors. We're a bit less fortunate here in Greece. One has to hunt for the slightest hint of fall color among the greens:

Which got me to thinking about what autumn really means to us here in Greece. For one thing, Athenians start wearing socks again:

And the neighborhood cats start to take their naps atop dark colored cars:

And still searching for the meaning of autumn here, I'm reminded of the possibility of processing films without having to use a lot of ice to cool down the chemicals (below left). And the end of daylight time in autumn means I can load film reels in my home office in the evening without a changing bag (below right):

To be Frank (;)) folks, I was seriously worried during the first few days of this month's subject that I had selected a clunker. However you folks have, once again, produced some excellent work.

What do we have to do to induce the talkers on the forum to become the posters on the forum?

Any ideas for the monthly subject would be most welcome; I'm inclined to suggest "weather" as the next topic: even the most recent convert to photography might just have a snap to include in that category. As you may recall, my reason for starting this thing off was to mix the work of established forum posters with that of folks who shipped in yesterday.

Please feel free to comment, either by PM, or as a general response. :)

After a rather slow start (which had me worried) you folks produced some lovely Autumn photos.

For December we shall focus on WEATHER. This gives everyone a chance to post up their holiday snaps. From the UK they will show rain and cloud, from the rest of the world sunshine and warmth! :)

The January theme really should be something to do with people, because I personally do not shoot many people shots, I guess I've tended to not venture into that area; this omission needs to be addressed because People is one of the busiest of our forums. Please PM me with any suggestions for people-related themes.

Thanks, once again, to all those who have contributed since Barnack's Monthly kicked off and to those who have not pitched in yet: what are you waiting for?
