Why do I see a dark bar area?

Actually it was serviced recently but I haven't developed a film yet. I just notice now that the service report is telling me that the CS also adjusted the shutter speed. Most likely the problem is solved already. I think it is time to process a film.

Thanks for your help

Steve

Yes James, shame on me, this one is an image out of my camera before it went to CS. I bought a demo camera which still holds one year warranty. Sometimes the frame masks did not changed when I had changed the lens. Thus I sent it to Leica CS. At that time I did not realised that there was a problem with the shutter speed. Leica CS made a complete check of the camera. They even changed the DX coder to the new one although the installed one was working very well. The CS report also mentions an adjustment of the shutter speed. Everything was done within the warranty, i.e. free of charge.

I raised the questioned as I also considered problems with the scanner as possible. Following the kind replies above I am very confident the Leica CS helped me out of a problem that I was not aware of.

I am still happy with my M7 especially as it is like new now and Leica did everything under warranty. I suppose that the minor problems with my M7 arose as it was not used for a long time and needed some service. The lessons learnt for other users might be that a used camera without warranty might be better than a like new camera without warranty.

Regards

Steve

 So are you saying the photos above are from before you had the camera serviced?
