microview Posted October 24, 2009 Share #21 Posted October 24, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyway, formatting a card on he M9 takes an eternity and two minutes. I always did (do) so on the M8, but I have given it up on the M9 2m is about right: is that really such a chunk out of your life?

BerndReini Posted October 24, 2009 Author Share #22 Posted October 24, 2009 When you are shooting an event, 2min seems like an eternity. I agree with Jaap.

pgk Posted October 24, 2009 Share #24 Posted October 24, 2009 Have you tried reading the file using the M9 - ie checking to see whether your camera can read the file again - if there is no problem in reading the file on the camera then its more likely that its a computer/reader transfer/read problem of some sort. wilfredo Posted October 24, 2009 Share #25 Posted October 24, 2009 I would follow ArtZ suggestion and give Leica a call. It seems other M9 shooters have had this problem. Perhaps there will be a firmware fix in the future? At $7000.00 big ones a pop, I can see how this would be very frustrating. GOOD LUCK! BTW Your subject seems to be just as baffled as the rest of us.

Agree 100%. I've seen very similar to this in both scanned shots and shots taken with a D3. I think it's highly likely a card, or transfer issue, sure it could be an M9 issue as well, but this type of stuff isn't rare.
