richam Posted October 22, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2009 Agree with Stuart, and especially on the light. A magic moment with the sun just right. Well done.
thrice Posted October 22, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted October 22, 2009 Thankyou both Stuart and Michael I bought my R8 used and it has a few "issues" mirror lockup literally locks up the camera until I change shooting modes. The other issue is the rewind tends to catch and feel like it's reached the end of the film. This happened with this roll, luckily this shot was right on the border of the section I burned. I agree I was very lucky with the light, I was walking back from deeper in the woods and saw the way the light was catching these trees. I whipped out the 19mm figuring I could exaggerate the corridor effect, but I just couldn't find a composition that worked. The only other lens I had with me was the 90, and when I looked through the finder it made much more sense than what I was seeing with the 19. All in all, I'm glad you like it

leicamann Posted October 24, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 24, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Love the shot... this is a really difficult one to get the right color balance..... I just feel that the scanner is making certain assumptions that is taking away from the actual richness of this image. Thanks for posting Cheers, JRM
thrice Posted October 24, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted October 24, 2009 Thanks JRM. I'm ok with any assumptions the scanner made, the image matches the slide pretty closely from what I can see.

vdb Posted October 27, 2009 Share #10 Posted October 27, 2009 Lovely light. Makes this image special. Looks like warm PM light. The 19mm was the right choice.
