markowich Posted October 22, 2009 Share #41 Posted October 22, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the film forum I've noticed the "I Love my MP" many times. I don't have a MP but I have a M9. And I love it. And I mean it. And it is full frame. And it has 18 MP. And it sits in my hand perfectly. And it is part of me. interesting how sex appeal can be extracted from a camera. can you post a pic of your hand holding a nikon?---))) peter
Advertisement Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Hi markowich, Take a look here I ♥ my M9.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Bixi Posted October 23, 2009 Author Share #42 Posted October 23, 2009 Fernmelder - You're right. My hand does look a bit pale on the image. But funny enough I have such pale skin. At times almost bluish Hey Peter - If I still would have my Nikon, I'd have loved to post an image - me holding it. But sadly it's not with me anymore … (actually not so sad at all )

James R Posted November 5, 2009 Share #44 Posted November 5, 2009 Now I'm really jealous. You have an M9 and a Thumbs Up. While I'm waiting for the M9 I tried to buy a Thumps Up and it was out of stock! BTW, I love your NY shots. Makes me want to go back.
James R Posted November 5, 2009 Share #45 Posted November 5, 2009 Here a couple of new photos of my M9. Note: The soft release Red Bug and the Thumbs Up are truly fantastic! Best, Bixi What type of tape do you use to cover the name/logo? I always worry about the glue damaging the paint.
mat_mcdermott Posted November 5, 2009 Share #46 Posted November 5, 2009 Looks like gaffer's tape to me. I've always found electrical tape works well, without marking the finish.
Overgaard Posted November 5, 2009 Share #47 Posted November 5, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, you should use electrical tape, almost invisible to see that there's tape on it. That little animal on the release button is cruel/funny/sweet ;-)
Bixi Posted November 6, 2009 Author Share #48 Posted November 6, 2009 James - I have a lot of sympathy for you and your situation. I'm an impatient person. If I want something - I want it now. Good luck and I hope you'll get your M9 soon. I ordered my Thumbs up from THUMBS UP CSEP-1 BLACK NEW! I got the black tape in a photo store. It didn't state a brand. Sorry. Matt - I think that you might be right. Thorsten - cruel/funny/sweet …….. yes, that's me

Rolo Posted December 11, 2009 Share #52 Posted December 11, 2009 Sooner or later, we'll need a thread to celebrate our M9's. Share pictures of your M9 here. Welcome, dear visitor! Marty Posted December 12, 2009 Share #56 Posted December 12, 2009 Sooner or later, we'll need a thread to celebrate our M9's. We already have (e.g. [thread=102550]here[/thread] and [thread=109068]here[/thread]). You're just late to the party I reckon the M9 delays are keeping things slow right now. But since I have decided to try film (hopefully sometime next month) I am spending more time in the MP thread anyway. Any bets on which thread will outlive the other? Rolo Posted December 12, 2009 Share #57 Posted December 12, 2009 Guys, Following the questions about my camera bag, I've launched another thread: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/customer-forum/109125-my-perfect-bag-sac.html to show it and detail the Sac. The original comments have been transferred to that thread. Hopefully, there will be others displaying their new M9's here soon. Regards edit "We already have (e.g. here and here). You're just late to the party". Sorry, I missed the love heart and sadly never investigate the German forums. I know I miss so much by not doing so, but I won't be learning the language now, I'm afraid.

FredSF Posted December 14, 2009 Share #60 Posted December 14, 2009 Pictures of the body are nice, but performance tale tell are better. Coming from the world of M6 with B&W negatives mostly developed and printed by myself, this is a jewel. The noise at high ISO doesn't even bother me the slightest, in fact I found myself adding grain to simulate what I've always done. Of course, nothing's ever perfect, but this is pretty damn sweet.
